You might think comparing arsenic to apples is a bit dramatic. But, you might NOT think so once you understand how common, everyday foods can be true poison to some of us. The antidote is simple – stop eating the foods in question. The challenge is just as simple – which foods?

Dr. Bill discusses Toxic Food Syndrome

Could It Really Be The Food I Eat?

There are literally hundreds of conditions that can be caused or worsened by toxic foods. You might be living with one of these conditions, or know someone who is. Here’s a short list of the more common conditions associated with toxic foods:

  • Migraines
  • Fibromyalgia
  • ADD / ADHD
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Chronic Joint Pain
  • Poor Concentration
  • Weight Gain
  • Asthma
  • Allergies
  • Mood Swings
  • Digestive Problems
  • Skin Conditions
  • Hyper Activity
  • Irritability

We’re Not Talking About Peanut Roulette.

One thing you have to understand - we’re not talking about severe food allergies here. Those are called Type One toxic reactions (IgE), and they’re the kind of food allergies that will keep moms up at night, fearful of hidden gluten lurking in a restaurant menu or trace amounts of peanut dust left behind on a cafeteria table. The toxic reactions are swift and obvious. The foods that cause them are just as obvious and are easy to avoid (at least in theory).

Our focus is on food sensitivities or delayed food allergies. Known as Type Two toxic reactions (IgG), they tend to appear many hours or even days after the toxic food or foods are eaten. Sometimes it takes two or three meals to ingest enough of the food in question to provoke allergic symptoms. It’s the “delayed reaction” and the fact that typically more than one food is at issue, that make Type Two food allergies so difficult to self-diagnose. They are the root cause of Toxic Food Syndrome, or TFS for short.

Is It The Food, Or Is It Me?

That’s a great question. And here’s the short answer – the food isn't bad. You are. We’ll, to be more specific, it’s not you, but your body’s ability to deal with certain foods that’s bad. The problem lies in how your individual body processes food. As you might imagine, everyone is different. Medical evidence suggests that Toxic Food Syndrome (TFS) can result when certain foods and their protein components are not completely digested. When these poorly digested components are absorbed by your body, your immune system does not recognize them as nutritional or beneficial. In response, the immune system goes into fighting mode, producing antibodies and starting a series of reactions that can affect many tissues and organs. Which, in turn, can affect the way you feel and the way you live.

How Will I Know Which Foods Are Slowly Poisoning Me?

In the past, we could determine toxic foods through a process of elimination. It took considerable time and wasn’t always completely accurate. Plus, it relied on the patient to closely monitor what they ate. Today, we have an amazing tool that allows us, with stunning speed and accuracy, to analyze 154 common foods to determine your level of sensitivity to each. It’s call the Bloodprint™, and like your finger print, it’s unique to you. Your Bloodprint™ will tell you, with 94.7% accuracy, precisely which foods are blending and which foods are toxic to your system. It’s all done with a small blood sample and some incredibly sophisticated lab tests.

But I Love Pasta and I Can’t Imagine Life Without It!

I know how you feel. It’s a scary proposition to consider not eating the foods we love so much. Here’s the great news about the foods that cause Toxic Food Syndrome - Most food sensitivities are just temporary. Many patients find that by eliminating the reactive food from their diet for a brief period of time, not only does their chronic symptoms disappear, so does the sensitivity to that particular food. Most people can reintroduce these food types back into their diet, and by following a few simple strategies that we teach, never deal with Toxic Food Syndrome again.

Would You Rather Avoid Almonds or Pop Pills?

Is food the answer to everything? I wish it were that simple. Quite frankly, Toxic Food Syndrome isn’t the hidden culprit behind all that ails us. But, I can tell you this – a shockingly high number of chronic conditions can be effectively treated or eliminated by simply eating the right foods and avoiding the wrong ones. Nothing gets my blood boiling more than meeting a patient for the first time and being handed a laundry list of medications they are taking. When I ask which foods they are sensitive to, their blank stare tells me all I need to know. The question is really simple – would you rather mask your condition with expensive medication or find out if a simple change to your diet will do the same thing? I can tell you which way the drug companies hope you will answer!

Why an Initial Screening? And Why Waive the Fee?

Our Toxic Food Initial Screening serves a couple of purposes. First, we’ll talk about your individual situation and the symptoms you are experiencing. Toxic food may or may not be contributing to your condition. This test might not be the right thing for you, so we’ll determine that together. Second, if we think this test can help, we’ll talk about what your unique Bloodprint™  might reveal, and how we’ll use it to your advantage. Of course, you’ll have questions, and we can talk about those. Last, we’ll help determine if your insurance will cover the testing fee (most cover a part or all of the fee) or help with other very affordable payment options.

Why waive the initial screening fee? Let’s get one thing straight – just like you, I don’t work for free. But, I’m a strong believer in the benefits of this test. Too many suffer from chronic conditions or just don’t “feel well”. I’m willing to devote some of my valuable time to talk with you about Toxic Food Syndrome, the BloodprintTM test, and why it can make a huge difference in your life. Maybe it will be a great fit for you. If not, maybe it’s right for someone in your family, a friend, a co-worker? It’s worth my time for us to talk. If I can help you, I’m compensated. I think that’s pretty fair for both of us.
